Memorial Day Ceremony: Traditionally, Plainfield's ceremony is at the flagpole at Watchung
Avenue and East 7th Street at 10:00 AM on Memorial Day. I could find no information in
either the Courier or the Ledger confirming this year's ceremony. If you are interested, plan
on coming out. If I get more info, I will post tomorrow morning. -- Dan
Memorial Day: "We miss a time when patriotism was more than a flag or a yellow ribbon.
It was a time where everybody participated and everybody was touched by the war."
-- Joe Mittelsdorf, Marine vet. -- see story in OF INTEREST section
MIA: Ledger has a front page story on payout deals for school superintendents -- print only.
