24 - Sat - HITS (Part 2)... Bernice on downtown dev... PHS athletic director... Drake House... State budget deadlock...

*
MIA: The Courier's front page is not posted online yet as of 8:50 AM. There is an A1 story on the suspension of PHS athletic director John Ahern. Will post if/when it comes online.

Since the Green / Moriarty / Sweeney proposal has helped ignite the state budget debate, all State Budget stories will be posted in the Plainfield section for the duration. -- Dan

An important article about polls and reporting on American popular sentiment about withdrawal from Iraq from the media's highly-respected trade journal
Editor & Publisher in Nation section today...

Adding articles from a new source today -- The New Standard, an online newspaper that is reader-supported. What intrigued me more than its populist take is that they seem to be rigorous about posting links to background info -- a nice touch for any fact-addicts out there. TNS will now appear in the 'frequently cited' links at the bottom of the page.
